Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is something I’m very interested in and feel passionate about, which is why I completed a peer supporter course with the ABM (Association of Breastfeeding Mothers) back in 2021/2022.

Breastfeeding is something I’m very interested in and feel passionate about, which is why I completed a peer supporter course with the ABM (Association of Breastfeeding Mothers) back in 2021/2022.

I began volunteering at the Camberley Breastfeeding Hub from late 2021 and more regularly from 2022 once I’d completed the course, this was important to me as I was desperate to provide support to other families having faced many different challenges within my feeding journeys. Once I started my maternity leave with our third child in the 2022 summer, I spent every Friday at the breastfeeding hub gaining knowledge and further developing my understanding as well as getting to know other parents. This was fulfilling a passion to support and encourage positive breastfeeding experiences!

My feeding experiences have all varied with each of my children so I can fully appreciate and empathise with the struggles and challenges that are associated with breastfeeding. Just know, I’m here to be your biggest supporter.

I volunteer my services at the following drop-in groups:

Camberley Breastfeeding Hub

Friday 11-12:30pm

Windsor & Eton Breastfeeding Clinic

Thursday 12-2pm

Growing My Breastfeeding Knowledge

I’m really excited to be taking the next step in my breastfeeding training with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers. I’ve started their Advanced Module, which follows a very similar syllabus to the Breastfeeding Counsellor course.

Because my role as a doula is within a paid capacity, I won’t be classed as a Counsellor – but the heart of this training is the same: gaining a deeper understanding of feeding and how best to support families.

For you, this means that the support I offer is backed up with current, evidence-based knowledge and practical tools that can make a real difference during those early days and weeks. Whether you’re hoping to establish breastfeeding smoothly, navigating a bump in the road, exploring mixed feeding, or simply needing reassurance that you’re doing brilliantly – I’ll be able to bring even more confidence, care, and calm to the support I offer.

At its core, this training is about helping you feel listened to, supported, and empowered in whatever feeding journey feels right for you and your baby.
